About This Project
The 4U Program System is designed to manage and monitor the lifecycle of company-issued laptops and IT assets. It tracks asset usage duration, assignment history, and eligibility for ownership transfer once the device reaches a defined lifespan (e.g., 5 years). Once eligible, employees may opt to purchase the device and take ownership based on company policy. The system ensures complete visibility of all assigned resources and their current status, helping organizations maintain control over asset aging, utilization, and disposition.
The Challenge
The organization lacked visibility on device age, ownership eligibility, and asset lifecycle status. Tracking was done manually, making it difficult to identify which laptops were due for turnover or purchase eligibility.
